I am excited to announce that I will be the first Desert Blume resident to run for the Cypress County Council seat in Ward 7!
More information about the 2025 Election can be found [HERE].
Mark your calendars:
As your councillor, I will always work in your best interests and stay in touch through a variety of communication channels!

My commitment is to provide fair representation for all residents of Desert Blume and the surrounding area. Since its formation, DB has grown into a hamlet of nearly 1,000 people. This election presents a unique opportunity to elect, for the very first time, a “Blumer” (as I like to call our DB neighbours).

Lead by a passion for languages and travel, I came to Canada at the age of 18 to complete Grade 12, leaving behind my friends and family. Because of this experience, community has always meant a great deal to me, and wherever we lived
I have volunteered and contributed to building stronger communities — from coaching youth sports, to building Okotoks' future vision and beautifying Blume Community I currently live in. Over the years I have lead many community projects and sat on the other side of the Council presenting new ideas which have lead into a success. More...
Since moving to Desert Blume in 2017, I have fallen in love with its natural beauty and tranquility. In 2019, I joined the community board and have been involved in a variety of projects, including decorating bulletin boards, organizing events such as the Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Parade, planting seasonal flowers, managing DB Residents FB group and occasionally assisting with secretarial duties.
As a teacher for over 20 years, I have taught Math and French, managed a college campus, and worked as a substitute in all our local schools. I also run a small real estate company, and I hope that one day, when my oldest daughter finishes her Culinary Arts program at SAIT, we can open our own restaurant or bakery.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Peter, for nearly 30 years, and together we have two grown daughters pursuing careers in culinary arts and nursing. Over the years, I have also welcomed many international exchange students into our home, creating a global community of friendships. I am a lifelong learner with B.Ed. B.Ec, Life Coaching and real-estate license.
For some time we have lived on the acreage, and I understand the rural life-style, its tranquillity and challenges.
I enjoy cooking and baking homemade meals, spending time in nature, sports, travelling and appreciating music. I speak French and will gladly promote our area in the rest of Canada.
